A nEw PoSt

  • Mood: I'm in a lovely mood, mostly because I could see my breath this morning in the cold air!
  • Music: Come My Way, by Skillet- the song's based on the woman with the issue of blood- good song
  • Randomness of the day: Not much randomness....oh, wait, I got something.....I ate grass the other day, from the ground, like a cow (It's a funny story)
  • Something I've learned: Grass taste like green peppers, and a little bit like lettuce- it doesn't taste too bad (surprisingly)
Nothing really exciting has happened recently, except school starting, but school starts every year, so it's not that exciting.
Oh, J-jam has started again. Whopee rad. I helped make the flags, that was 'fun'. So far my team (the golden gophers) is in second place out of four teams, I really want to win this year!
Oh, and I did just finish the Eldest, a couple weeks a go, but I didn't like it too much. But I did read Redeeming Love by Francine Rivers *holds book in her arms and sighs longingly*- it was soooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo good. It's based on the book of Hosea, sort of, but takes place during the CA gold rush. I love that book!!!!! All ya girls out there needs to read it! I won't say much more, I wouldn't want to ruin the book, it is a very touching love story.
That's it..

Vacation

  • Mood: Sleepy (still on CA time schedule)
  • Music: I think I hear a faint rumbling from my lil brudders room
  • Randomness of the day: just woke up, too early for randomness
  • Something I've learned: Never open your mouth when falling off a tube into water, well, unless you're REALLY thirsty and like the taste of river water

Well, my vacation went great! CA was great as usual and going to 'the river' with my cousins was great. I didn't have a very relaxing vacation, but that's how I like 'em.

Typical day: wake up at 5am (or your parents forget to wake you up so you sleep in 'til eight and catch the next ride to 'the river') go on gramps boat and laugh hystarically as all your cousins try to show off water skiing, but more than likely fall in the water. Then around 8 go back to Coffee Erns for breakfeast, drive back to the river at nine. Beg for a tube ride. Get a tube ride, fall off the tube ride as others laugh at you. Swim, read, swim, read, read, swim...maybe tube some more, then swim. Get ice cream. Drive back to hotel, fall asleep.

Yeap, that was my vacation. It was fun.

In less than two and one half days I will be going on my church's summer missions trip. This is my first time being a leader on a missions trip, so just pray for me that I will do more than a fine job and I will be open for God to use me and to be a great leader to the Yellow Team (the yellow team rocks!!!!! Yeah!).

Luau

  • Mood: hmm, it's nice outside. I'm in a good mood
  • Music: My dog barking?
  • Randomness of the day: My brother told me he is growing out his hair for the summer!
  • Something I've learned: Not much, obviously
Last Night was awesome!!!!
Last night was Youth Group and we had our annual luau, where we deck out the youth building in...um, luau stuff and encourage the youth to invite their friends from school to youth group. The best part was that South Mountain (my lil brudder's band) played.
They were SOOO good, and I'm not just saying that because I'm biased. They were so good they were offered the position to became the youth building's house band! That means that whenever they have concerts at youth, my brother's band plays. You know, set the standard (which is pretty high), for the other bands that will come in to play.
After youth group they had an electic surf board, like those mechanical bulls. I lasted 13 whole minutes. HA HA HA, I must not be very balanced. AH well.

  • Mood: peaceful...sure, why not
  • Music: Five Iron Frenzy
  • Randomness of the day: It was warm...and sunny?
  • Something I've learned: Walking around in flip flops through water is a lot of fun, especially on warm days
so...how is everybody?

Well, on Sunday (Easter Sunday) my dad and I went on a hike to lose all the chocolate that kept finding its place in my hands...and mouth. I tried to persuade my brother to come with us, but he doesn't like hiking.
It was nice out, so we took a five minute drive to the Appilaction trail (by the mountains, not the valley) and started walking up this 'mountain'. We weren't even five minutes into the walk when it started to drizzel. We looked at each other and decided to keep going. About twenty minutes it started to rain.
By now we were by a ridge, so we decided to keep going (about another ten minutes) to the ridge and then turn back. When we turned back, it started to rain very heavily. We were both very wet by the time we got back into the car. I had never seen my dad walk so fast down a wet hill.

And that concludes a pointless story. the end
